Hey guys, been awhile since I last updated
isn’t it?
HAHA I feel like I’ve been saying that all
the time, with each new post.
Tbh, I started my blog simply to remind
myself of the good times I’ve had, I realise I have a pretty shitty memory for
short-term stuff. However, when I don’t blog it (99% of the time LOL) then I
still forget it.
Anyhoos. Here’s my review of this seriously
cool new thang – Palmer’s Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion For Instant Cooling.
This bottle is massive and can last you a month for $17.90/200g!? You can get it at the usual places - Watsons, Guardian, Fairprice, BHG, Robinsons, John Little and leading cosmetic stores.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion provides deep moisture in an instant. This non-greasy formula sprays on easily and our RapidSorb® Technology allows for quick absorption, leaving skin soft and smooth with 24 hour moisturisation. Paraben & Phthalate Free
If you know me personally, you’d know that
I’m like the world’s most laziest person (okay I’m sure that there are lazier
but I think I qualify for top 5%?) HAHA. Anyway this quote I saw on the
Internet is TRUE – the world’s laziest people are the smartest people because we find the shortest and most efficient way to do things – simply because we
are too damn lazy to do it the established way.
Take moisturising for example. I officially
CANNOT call myself a teen anymore (lawls) cos like, I can sing Taytay’s hit
“22” in a month~~ Anyway, so I’ve also been working in offices for quite some
time, and I can attest to the honest truth – being in air-conditioned rooms for
the better part of the day DOES dry your skin. If you just take a quick glimpse
at the average office worker (lady)’s table, a conscientious one would have the
requisite hand cream for use in the office.
Yes, I have gotten older, I know that I’m
supposed to do the skincare routine. And I do (try) my best! (when I remember
lawls). But also, in hot and humid Singapore, it’s a pain in the ass to apply thicker
moisturiser that I can feel a layer of the cream on my skin when I leave my
flat.
Also, I perspire pretty quickly. Hence I
stick to thinner fabrics and always have a couple packs of tissue in my bag to
mop up any stray rivulets of perspiration = I can’t wear non waterproof makeup,
and I’ve skipped my morning moisturising routine COS it’s too damn hot to wear
moisturiser out of my house without feeling like a hot mess.
Samplestore sent me a sample (thanks guys!)
although to my old work address, thanks Justina for picking up my parcel! I
think that the best things for skincare come in spray bottles – sunscreen,
moisturiser, water mists to keep myself awake – sprays are lighter on the skin,
also you don’t get your hands dirty during application! (A lazy person must
have thought this up LOLOL)
What is this product? Here's Sonia Sui who's currently endorsing Palmer's:(picture speaks a thousand words, a video must be the Harry Potter series LOL):
So pretty right!! Maybe after continuous usage I'll be as pretty? *wishful thinking* HAHAHA
I’ve been using it for a couple of days,
and I LOVE IT – Here’s why:
Pros:
- Doesn’t feel heavy on skin
- Application is a breeze – literally and figuratively LOL. You just hold the can 3-4 inches away from your skin and SPRAY the areas you want to cover, then rub it in gently!
- Takes me 30 seconds to apply and rub it in (you don’t have to, but I’m a failure in aiming the spray and always spray it in the wrong places HAHAH)
- SMELLS GREAT – I love the smell of Shea/Cocoa Butter and I think that’s the primary ingredient in this spray. I used to use the Palmer’s lotion when I went to colder countries cos I loved the scent and in colder countries, the thicker moisturiser feeling helps your skin from cracking in the cold
- Super cool feeling - literally after spraying it. Absorbs really quickly too!
Cons:
- Be careful when you spray (there’s a warning on the bottle as well) that any extra or stray spray would cause the surface to be slippery – hence I stand on a towel/spread a towel on my bed before spraying. Usually my bath towel is in my room from the night before anyway so I use it then, no extra fuss! Or you can spray it in the shower after your bath!
- If you dislike the scent of shea/cocoa butter, then this product isn’t for you cos the smell is pretty strong.
My skin today.. Will update this post after a week of continuous usage!!!
How do you apply it?
You know how Acai berries and anti-oxidants are always touted and marketed in skinfood products to aid with anti-aging? Well, so is cocoa butter, hurray!
